Giving ID to Astah project when saved

Is it possible to give an Astah project an ID when its saved?

Product: Astah Professional

Hi y,

We're afraid it's no possible. Would you like it for managing of the changes to documents?

Cheers,

SJ

Yes, how can I achieve this?

Hi y,

There are three ways to do so.

A: If you are using Astah Professional, you can save .asta file in XML file. So managing .asta file in XML with Github is one way.

B: Please refer to the document here.

C: We have a plug-in to let Astah work with Subversion. (This plug-in works with Subversion 1.7)

  1. Check out the directory from the repository
  2. Download this plug-in file from here
  3. Launch Astah and go to [Plugin] - [Installed Plugins] (If you are using version 7.1 or earlier, go to [Help] - [Plugin List])
  4. [plugins] dialog appears, click [Install] button and select the .jar file you downloaded at step.2
  5. Restart Astah, then you will find [Simple SVN operation] menu under [Tools] Image Text
  6. Go to [Configuration] menu and set it up

We're sorry but currently documentations about this plug-in isn't available.

Thankyou for your reply, how can I set this up? Which location do I have to save the project at?

First get a subversion client, and specify the location with it where you want the Subversion to manage your working copies and etc. Then create and save the .asta file there.
