ASIL

You can assign ASIL (Automotive Safety Integrity Level) to requirements in several ways.

1. Directly assign to a requirement

You can directly assign ASIL to a requirement by double-clicking on the top-right corner of the requirement.

You can also assign it from Requirement’s property view.

2. ASIL assigned by decomposition

Please refer to “Decomposition” for details.
When you perform decomposition several times, ASIL assigned at the last decomposition will stay.

3. Safety Goal

When you create a Safety Goal Requirement with ASIL on a Safety Concept Diagram, the ASIL of the safety goal will apply to all the requirements on the diagram.

Determination of ASIL

ASIL of requirement is determined in the following order.

  1. ASIL assigned directly to a Requirement
    ASIL directly assigned to a requirement prevails ASIL that were assigned in other ways.
  2. ASIL assigned by decomposition
  3. ASIL being set to a Safety Concept Diagram
    If there is more than one Safety Goal being set to a diagram, the highest ASIL will prevail.
