Installing Astah on Mac (astah* System Safety) (astah* SysML)

This page explains how to install Astah in a Mac environment and launch it.

Installing Astah

  1. Download Astah from download page and save the installer to the desired folder (e.g. Desktop).

  2. Double click the downloaded file (.dmg).

  3. In the dialog that appears, double-click the pkg file to run it.

Extracting the dmg file

  1. Click the “Next” button when the installation dialog for Astah is displayed.

  1. The license agreement will be displayed. Select the language (Japanese or English).

Read the license agreement and if you agree to the terms, click the “Continue” button, then click the “I Agree” button in the dialog box that appears.

  1. Specify the destination disk.

  1. The “Installation Preparation Complete” dialog box appears. If there are any changes you wish to make, click the “Back” button to return to the relevant dialog and make settings again.

Preparation for installation is complete.

  1. When the completion dialog appears, the installation is complete.

Launching Astah

Astah can be launched by the following methods:

  • Click the Astah icon.

  • Double-click an existing Astah project file (file with the extension axmz).
