License Activation

  1. Log into CV Members site and click [License Registration].


  2. Enter the license number and validation code. Click [Add].


  3. Choose the start date of your license, then click [Next].


  4. Make sure that your email address is correct, then click [Register License].


  5. Email is sent to you. Access the URL in the email and download the license file.
    Or you can directly download it from the website.
  6. Distribute this license file to all the faculty and students who need to use Astah.

How to renew

  1. Purchase another Faculty Site License from online store or distributors.
  2. Log into CV Members site and click [License Management].


  3. Your license information appears. Choose [Renew this license] and click [Next].
    * Your license information appears only if it is within your license validity period. If it was expired already, please register your license as new.


  4. Enter NEW license information and click [Next].


  5. Make sure that your email address and new support expiry dates are correct, then click [Register License].



  6. Email is sent to you. Access the URL in the email and download the updated license file.
    Or you can directly download it from the website.

  7. Distribute this license file to all the faculty and students who need to use Astah. Once they receive it, they can go to [Help] – [License] – [Set License key] and specify the updated license file.

Silent Install

You can install Astah in silent mode with the following command.

e.g: Installing Astah Professional 8.2

astah-professional-8_2_0-66631d-jre-64bit-setup.exe /verysilent

If you would like to install Astah to a specific directory, use /DIR option.

Deploying license file

If you have a Faculty Site License, a license file(.xml) should be renamed when directly saving in the Astah Installation folder as below.

Astah Professional

“astah_faculty_license.xml” -> “astah_professional_license.xml”

Astah SysML

“astah_faculty_license.xml” -> “astah_sysml_license.xml”

Astah GSN

“astah_faculty_license.xml” -> “astah_gsn_license.xml”
