With Astah SysML, you can compare models and diagrams in two project files. Differences are shown in a list and also visually in the diagrams, with markups.

Compare Diagrams

  1. Open a file, then go to [File] – [Compare Project and Merge].

  2. Select another project file to compare.
  3. The [Differences] pop-up opens, showing the diagrams and models of both project files side by side in a tree view.

    Diagrams and models with differences are indicated by color:
    • Blue: The model exists in both files, but differs between them.
    • Red: The model does not exist in this file but exists in the other file.
    • Green: The model exists only in this file and not in the other file.
  4. To see the differences visually in diagrams, select a diagram in the tree view and click [Open Compare Diagram].

You can merge files

To merge the two projects after reviewing the differences, click the [Merge] button.
