Plugin Overview:
Make models description more rich and easy to read for everyone. This Plug-in provides an additional “definition” field to Astah where you can use rich formatting to write a document for each model.
Supported Functions:
- bold
- italic
- underline
- strikethrough
- ident (increase or decrease)
- align (left, right, center, justify)
- horizontal line
- link
- text color
- undo/redo support
Installation Instructions:
- Download the latest .jar from the release page.
- In Astah, navigate to [Plugin] -> [Installed Plugins].
- In the dialogue box, click [Install], then select the downloaded .jar file.
- Restart Astah and either start a new project or open an existing file.
- The installation is successful if you see the [Rich Document] tab beneath the diagram editor.
How to use
- Select a model element in the diagram, then open [Rich Document] tab.
- Enter information that you would like to add to the model element – description you would write in the “Definition field” but with custom formatting.
- You can always show and edit detailed, formatted text documents in this pane by selecting a model element.
In the original built-in Definition field, what you typed in the Rich Document pane will appear in HTML format. However, editing in HTML format will not apply to the document in the [Rich Document] pane.
