Introduction:
Plugin Overview:
This plugin enables exporting projects in Astah SysML and Astah System Safety to an interactive HTML format for easy sharing and visualization.
Installation Instructions:
- Download the latest .jar from the this link.
- In Astah, navigate to [Plugin] -> [Installed Plugins].
- In the dialogue box, click [Install], then select the downloaded .jar file.
- Restart Astah and either start a new project or open an existing file.
- Verify the installation: you should see the [HTML export] menu under [Tools].
How to Export:
- Open or create a project file that you want to export.
- Navigate to [Tools] – [HTML export] – [Export as HTML].
- Choose the export directory, provide a name, and click [Save].
- When promoted to open the exported HTML in a browser, click [Yes] or [No].
Browse Exported HTML:
The exported HTML provides an intuitive interface for browsing your project.
- Sidebar Navigation: Displays your models and diagrams as a tree structure
- Details Panel: Clicking on an item in the sidebar reveals its details in the main view.
- Filtering:

Use the search box to find specific items by entering <query> or type=<filterType> <query>.

diagram: Filters diagram-related items (e.g., block_definition_diagram).

table: Filters table-related items (e.g., requirement_table).

Specific types like block, package, or use_case.

Additional Information:
- Interfaces and Actors: Exported as Classes.
- Astah System Safety Users: Note that SCDL models cannot be exported due to API limitations.
