XMI Import

Add [XMI Import] menu in Astah to import model information of Class diagrams via XMI (version 2.1).

How to Install

  1. Download the Plugin file.
  2. After the download is complete, drag the downloaded .jar file to an open instance of Astah. A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm installation. Choose [Yes], then restart Astah.
  3. If you see [XMI] under [Tools], your installation is complete.

How to Use

  1. Create or open a project file, and go to [Tools] – [XMI] – [Import XMI].
  2. Select an XMI file from the file chooser and click [Import].

  3. When the import is complete, an “Import Completed” message appears.

Restrictions

  • XMI version 2.1 is supported.
  • Only model information is imported. Diagram and presentation information is not imported.
  • Notations may appear differently when you import XMI exported by other tools.
  • Association end visibility, TemplateBinding, and Template Parameter are not imported.
  • Attribute visibility is not supported in Astah version 6.6.4.
