How to Install
- Download the Plugin file.
- After the download is complete, drag the downloaded .jar file to an open instance of Astah. A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm installation. Choose [Yes]. If the pop-up below opens, restart Astah.
- If you see [Import ER Domain from Excel] and [Import ER models from Excel] under [Tools] – [ER Diagram], your installation is complete.
Import ER Domains from Excel
- Go to [Tools] – [ER Diagram] – [Import ER Domain from Excel].
※The supported format is the Entity Definition Report exported by Astah (from [Tools] – [ER Diagram] – [Export Entity Definition Report]) or the sample template. If you customize the format, you need to specify the rows and columns to import accordingly.
Import Entities and Attributes from Excel
- Go to [Tools] – [ER Diagram] – [Import ER models from Excel].
- A dialog box appears.
- Select the file you want to import and click [Import].
※The supported format is the Entity Definition Report exported by Astah (from [Tools] – [ER Diagram] – [Export Entity Definition Report]) or the sample template. - By default, names are imported as logical names. To import both logical and physical names, choose the second option and specify the row and column.
- When the import completes successfully, a confirmation dialog opens. Click [OK].
- To create an ER diagram from the imported models, select an ER model in the structure tree and click [Auto Create ER Diagram].
